About me

It seems like the years of my personal life experiences have steered me towards an inevitable, undeniable compassion for the joys, challenges and unique functioning for all people of all backgrounds and stages of life. This ultimately motivated me to obtain my BSocSci degree at the University of Pretoria majoring in Psychology and Criminology. I continued to complete my BSocSci Honours degree in Psychology at the University of Pretoria, after which I completed my Internship as a Psychometrist at Weskoppies Psychiatric Hospital where I assessed in- and out-patients ranging from children to adults.

My Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology (Msc Clinical Psychology) was completed at the University of Limpopo (Medunsa Campus). I was then selected for the Internship program at Dr. George Mukhari Hospital and Weskoppies Psychiatric Hospital where I successfully treated child, adolescent and adult in- and out-patients with various psychiatric and psychological difficulties. My community service year was completed at the Department of Defence where I worked with various uniform wearing members – and their family members – of different rank, age, race, gender and language.

Within the military context I have gained considerable experience with regards to individuals who experience a plethora of psychological and emotional difficulties ranging from occupational- and marital-difficulties to bullying behaviour in children to name a few. I have furthered my career in the military as a full member in the rank of Captain, and continued in the capacity of Independent Clinical Psychologist. Parallel to this I was also in part time Private Practice, after which I continued into full time private practice until now, where I have been working with various individuals and various presenting complaints in the general population.

I am registered at the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as an independent practitioner in Clinical Psychology and am currently in full time Private Practice in 575 Lois Ave, Erasmuskloof, Pretoria.
